Our Discipleship Process
We believe that a disciple of Jesus Christ is one who follows Christ (Matthew 16:24), is transformed by Christ (Luke 6:40), obeys Christ (John 14:15), and is on mission with Christ (Matthew 28:18-20) to multiply more and better disciples of Christ.
We will seek to CONNECT people to God, His Word, and an authentic group of Christ-followers in dynamic and biblically defined relationships. As humans, we were made to glorify God and designed to live in community with
We will seek to help people GROW in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ through the application of biblical truth, resulting in life change. We believe that Ephesians 4:11-16 makes it plain that spiritual maturity must be defined not simply by biblical knowledge, but applied biblical knowledge, resulting in a growing demonstration of a agape love for God and others.
We will seek to equip and release people to SERVE in active Gospel engagement both inside and outside the church. We believe that every believer has an inherent need to serve God and others in causes both big and small in order to advance the Gospel, demonstrate the image of God within us, and to be good stewards of the gifts and talents with which God has blessed us.
We will seek to equip believers to MULTIPLY: to be disciples who make disciples through the intentional application of biblical truth within the arena of redeemed relationships. A “redeemed relationship” is a relationship that is about more than just friendship and commonalities. It is about recognizing that God has His own set of desires for that person and that relationship. It is a relationship governed by the higher purposes of agape love and discipleship, such that there is an inherent intentionality to them.
