Mike Harris
PASTOR OF DISCIPLESHIP AND ADMINISTRATION
Mike and Judy have been a part of Breesport Baptist Church since 1986. Over the years, Mike has served this church in a number of capacities: treasurer, trustee, deacon, teacher, school board member, and Life Group leader. In May 2014, Mike retired from Corning Incorporated after a 38-year career and was called by the church to be the Pastor of Discipleship and Administration in July of that same year. He oversees the educational ministries of our church, Life Groups, the deacon board, and works closely with our treasurer. He cares for the regular business dealings of the church and works closely with many of the volunteer leaders of our church's ministries.
Mike met Judy Krantz while in high school and they were married in 1973 while attending college. Judy and Mike had both been saved as God prepared them for a life together. Mike graduated with a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and joined Corning Incorporated, Harrodsburg, KY in September 1976. After two and a half years in KY, they moved to Big Flats, NY in 1979 where they continue to live. He and Judy have two grown children and four wonderful grandchildren. Judy has served in our nursery for over 20 years, and professionally as a teacher's aid in public elementary schools and special education classes.
