Doug Forman - Pastor of Preaching and Vision
Mike Harris - Pastor of Discipleship and Administration
Andy Shanks - Pastor of Youth and Worship
Andy and Kirsten joined the staff at Breesport Baptist church in February of 2018. Andy grew up 30 minutes from Breesport in East Smithfield PA. While growing up in a godly family and attending a Bible teaching, God fearing church (Independent Baptist Church, Towanda PA) he recognized his need for a Savior and accepted Christ at the age of 4. He was actively involved in church growing up, and God used the church to play a large role in calling him into full time ministry. It was on mission trips during his high school years that Andy felt God calling him into full time ministry. This calling was confirmed the summer of 1998 when he was working as a counselor at camp Bayouca.
Andy attended Baptist Bible College, where he met his future wife Kirsten, and graduated in 2002. Upon graduation at BBC (Bachelors of Science in Bible, with a pastoral emphasis) Andy returned to his home church in Towanda for a year internship before being hired as youth pastor at Winslow Baptist Church in Sicklerville NJ, where he served for over 14 years. While at Winslow Baptist Church he married his wife Kirsten (Jan. 2004) and they had their two children, Kaylee (Jul. 2006) and Josiah (Jan. 2010)
Along with His love for youth and music, Andy loves to spend time with his family, being involved in sports: playing, coaching, and watching, as well as spending time outside enjoying God’s creation.
Our family is thrilled to be at Breesport, and our greatest desire is to see people accept Christ, grow in their relationship with Christ, and passionately worship Christ. If we can be of any assistance, of if you have any questions, feel free to call him at 607-739-2397 or email him at email@example.com
Cary Shaw - Administrator, Twin Tiers Christian Academy
Mike and Judy have been a part of Breesport Baptist Church since 1986. Over the years, Mike has served this church in a number of capacities: treasurer, trustee, deacon, teacher, school board member, and Life Group leader. In May 2014, Mike retired from Corning Incorporated after a 38-year career and was called by the church to be the Pastor of Discipleship and Administration in July of that same year. He oversees the educational ministries of our church, Life Groups, the deacon board, and works closely with our treasurer. He cares for the regular business dealings of the church and works closely with many of the volunteer leaders of our church's ministries.
Mike met Judy Krantz while in high school and they were married in 1973 while attending college. Judy and Mike had both been saved as God prepared them for a life together. Mike graduated with a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennesee at Knoxville and joined Corning Incorporated, Harrodsburg, KY in September 1976. After two and a half years in KY, they moved to Big Flats, NY in 1979 where they continue to live. He and Judy have two grown children and four wonderful grandchildren. Judy has served in our nursery for over 20 years, and professionally as a teacher's aid in public elementary schools and special education classes.

He and his wife Michele have been enjoying serving the Lord as the Pastor of Preaching and Vision since 2010. He was saved at the age of 25 through the witness of a former co-worker and his great-aunt. Both of them challenged him to read the Bible, beginning in the Gospel of Matthew praying, "God, if you're real, prove it to me as I read these words." And prove it He did! He trusted Jesus Christ as His personal Lord and Savior in October of '95 when he finally understood the amazing truth of John 3:16...that "God so loved him that He gave His only Son for him!"
He became a member of Breesport in '97 with his wife Michele and two children; Jessica and Corey. As a family they served the Lord here in a variety of ways, and then in May of 2005 they accepted the call to become the Associate Pastor of Christian Education. By June of that year he had resigned from his position at Corning, Inc. and began the newest chapter of their lives as they followed after Christ.
He is currently enrolled with Baptist Bible Seminary, endeavoring to earn a Master of Ministry degree through their distance learning program. He is passionate about preaching and teaching the Word of God with the goal of making more and better disciples of Jesus; from the youngest to the oldest who will then follow hard after Christ. He loves being on staff here, as it has been a second home for his family and him for more than 15 years.
If you have any questions about your personal spiritual journey of about anything else concerning our church, please don't hesitate to call him at 607.739.2397 or email him at email@example.com.
Cary has been serving at TTCA since 1990. After graduating from Cedarville University with a degree in mathematics and secondary education, he was hired to teach math at TTCA. He continued in that position until 1996 when, at that time, he was hired as the school’s administrator. He continues to keep a presence in the classroom, though, as he will teach an occasional math class be that algebra, geometry, or calculus. For most of the years since 1990, he has had the excitement of working with our students as the boys’ varsity basketball coach and, at times, the coach of the girls’ junior varsity team.
In an effort to better serve the ministry and to improve my skills, he has pressed on in his education. He finished a master’s of science in education degree at Elmira College in 1998. Shortly after that, he was awarded New York State permanent certification to teach secondary mathematics. Then, from 2008 to 2015, he studied in the doctoral program at Binghamton University and eventually completed his doctorate in educational theory and practice.
For Cary, coming to Twin Tiers in 1990 was a bit of a homecoming. He was quite familiar with the ministry as a former student who attended here from 1980-1983. He is sure he would have graduated from the school had his father’s job not taken him from this area. However, great things can become of the unexpected. As a result of that move, he attended a Christian high school in Jamestown, NY where he met his future wife. He and Kathy have been married since 1991. The Lord has blessed their home with four wonderful children: Kerianne, Jordan, Hannah, and Morgan.
